Jurassic World: Fallen kingdom

Jurassic Park movies had an enormous impact on moviegoers and over the years have created a massive fanbase. The latest Jurassic Park sequel, Jurassic World: Fallen kingdom, has fans of dinosaurs excited once again, as shown in $748 million grossed worldwide. J. A. Bayona steps into the director’s chair and works from a script written by Jurassic World writer Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly, with Steven Spielberg and Trevorrow as executive producers. Fallen kingdom starts three years after the events of Jurassic World, with park Isla Nublar deserted by humans and left to the dinosaurs. Unfortunately, dinosaurs didn’t enjoy their freedom for long as their home is in danger. Main stars, Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) and Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) join forces once again in an attempt to save the day.

Fallen Kingdom is a fun movie, but to hardcore fans of the Jurassic Park franchise it left a bit of a sour taste. Except for a few new dinosaurs and a fantastic CGI, the film didn’t bring anything new. Chris Pratt’s character doesn’t have almost any character development, by the end of this movie his character is pretty much the same as in the previous movie. Claire is a bit better than in Jurassic World and she doesn’t just make a mistake after mistake. The villains are nothing memorable either, just a greedy corporate people who want money. The story missed an opportunity and didn’t take advantage of an amazing dinosaur world, just seems bland and non-original. Even though this movie has many mistakes, it can still be worth watching just for the fun of it. It is well directed and you can enjoy some amazing visuals.
